Funky Fridays Dance

Camp Acorn’s Funky Fridays Dance features monthly social dances from 7:00pm to 10:00pm and is hosted monthly from October thru May at our facility.

Monthly dances provide an uplifting and enriching environment focused on fostering social connections, dancing, and pure enjoyment. Our Funky Friday Dances offer a vibrant space where our campers come together to celebrate the joy of movement, music, and camaraderie.

Whether it’s swaying to the rhythm of a favorite song or trying out new dance steps, our campers revel in the freedom of expression and the thrill of shared experiences. Beyond the dance floor, these gatherings serve as a hub for building lasting friendships and creating cherished memories. Each month, campers eagerly anticipate the opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet new acquaintances, and strengthen the bonds of community with local high school and adult volunteers. With laughter echoing and feet tapping, monthly dances epitomize the spirit of connection, fun, and the enduring power of friendship.

Each dance serves about 55 campers.

Funding for Services – Camp Acorn is an approved provider under Medicaid/DDD and PerformCare.
