Welcome to Camp Acorn. Founded in September of 2001, Camp Acorn serves children and adults with developmental disabilities through year round enrichment programs. Our award winning programs are currently serving over 120 families from Bergen and Passaic counties.

Camp Acorn’s mission is to provide a supportive environment through enrichment programs that address the physical, emotional, and social well-being of children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our programs help campers build self-esteem, confidence, and life skills that branch into all aspects of their lives.

Camp Acorn is founded on the vision that everyone has something to contribute to society and that communities are stronger when they focus on an individual’s ability, rather than their disability. To achieve this we must confront the stigma against those with disabilities and empower them to have experiences that are meaningful. Disability affects people from all walks of life and knows no geographic, economic, or ethnic boundaries. Therefore it does not have to divide people and can be turned into a unifying force to bring diverse groups of people together for a common benefit.

Annual Tricky Tray – Wednesday May 15th, 2019 – TICKETS ARE GOING ON SALE SOON! Feel free to contact us about. One of the biggest tricky trays in the tri-state area, Camp Acorn’s Annual Tricky Tray features over 450 prizes, grand prizes (vacation packages, sports/special event tickets, custom jewelry, and more), two 50/50 raffles, and a $1000 gift card tree. Held at the Venetian in Garfield, NJ, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
Calendar Lottery – GOING ON NOW! – Calendars went on sale this past fall but we may still have some available. Weekly drawings begin in January 2019 and run thru June 30th, 2019. There’s a winner for every day of the week! Calendars are $20.00 each.
Annual Beefsteak & Music Show Fundraiser – TBD – Fall 2019 – 7:00pm to 10:30pm: our annual Beefsteak sold out last year and tickets are first come first serve, so be sure to order early! Last year’s event took place at the Knights of Columbus in Ramsey NJ, and featured catering by Nightingales and entertainment by the very talented Eddie Pirrera.
